World Young Rheumatic Diseases Day is on 18 March aiming to raise the awareness and knowledge about young people living with rheumatology diseases and to encourage early diagnosis of the diseases to parents, doctors, primary practitioners, teachers, and the general public with immediate referrals to specialised paediatric rheumatologists in each country including South Africa.
Jason Falken, the CEO of the Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust announced the launch of the Trust’s new corporate identity, redesigned logo, website and social media platforms at an event at the hospital on 17 October 2019.
It is time to dust off those sneakers and step up in support of the World Preemie Day Fun Walk taking place on Saturday 16 November at 07:00am for 08:00am. This is the second year the event will be held, after Tygerberg Hospital successfully hosted their inaugural World Preemie Day 5km Fun Walk on the hospital grounds last year.
No one is going to take the wind out of the Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust’s sails on 19 October at 12pm at the Waterfront, Cape Town when we participate as Friendly Pirates in the Great Optimist Race. The Trust is very fortunate that Gavin Seaton from Starbrite selected them as his charity of choice for this fundraising race. More
